Jars of Clay is a Christian non-profit ministry that serves low income and homeless people in our state. We believe who we are as human beings is determined by how we treat each other and our goal is treat people just like Jesus did, in spirit and in truth!
There is nothing that brings us more joy than seeing people transition out of poverty. We believe that being truly effective in ministry should yield a changed life or as the bible says, you will know them by their fruit! (Mat 7:16) Likewise, we believe every penny donated to our organization should be viewed as an investment that continues to give through the use of our facilities, programs and services.
Our ministry is a faith ministry and even though we serve thousands of people a year, we never rely on the government for funding...not one penny! We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will keep us in operation as long as we are faithful to "the least of these."
USA today claims 90% of Americans believe that it is “important to be personally involved in supporting a cause they believe in.” Again, we trust the scripture, “where your treasure is there your heart will be also.”
(Mat 6:19). God said, whoever is kind to the poor lends to Him.
Our mission is to share God's unconditional love, His gracious intentions and sovereign purpose for each and every person regardless of their financial disposition. When we act in response to human need, giving what we have without seeking profit, we believe God magnifies the effects of our efforts and brings about change so every life is esteemed.
